Terms & Conditions

Copyright. Unless otherwise noted, all materials are copyrighted by the Family Resource Center Coalition of Nebraska Inc. Parents as Teachers (PAT) and the PAT logo are copyrighted by Parents As Teachers Inc.

FRCCN seeks to disseminate information on the role of family resource centers, as well as information on programs and services that can assist families and children. Therefore, those materials to which FRCCN holds sole legal copyright may be reproduced and distributed by our visitors for non-commercial purposes, provided the source is properly credited and the FRCCN copyright notice accompanies the reproduced materials. If, however, you wish to incorporate our materials into products that will be sold to users or otherwise used to generate revenue, you must first obtain written permission from FRCCN to do so.

Virtual Family Resource Center. The blueprint used for the Virtual Family Resource Center is based on a design by John Rattenbury of Taliesen Architects. This design is used by permission and is copyrighted by Taliesen Architects. The original appeared as a 1997 Life Magazine Dream House. Taliesen Architects is a wholly-owned for-profit subsidiary of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation and supports its mission and programs.

Anti-Spam Policy. "Spam" is generally understood to be "junk mail" sent to another person. This includes jokes, advertisements, solicitations and other unwanted correspondence. It also covers items that would be considered pornographic, libelous or contain files that could potentially damage the hardware or software of the recipient. FRCCN does not approve of spam and requests that users of this site refrain from sending unwanted, threatening, harassing, illegal or potentially harmful mail to our partners and users. Reports of spamming will be forwarded to our Internet Service Provider (ISP) for appropriate action.

Privacy Policy. FRCCN is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. We do not sell names of our visitors or members to commercial mailing lists. From time-to-time, we do make our list available to our partners so they can share information on upcoming conferences or other program alerts. However, this is done with the understanding that they do not sell any information you provide. Please contact us, if you ever believe you have received inappropriate mailings or spam as a result of using this site.

Netiquette. Netiquette is simply etiquette for the net. There are certain dos and don’ts that apply to any form of social interaction. Using this website — or other Internet sites and services — is no exception. You may want to read up on proper netiquette at albion.com if you have concerns about how to behave online.

Foreign Sites. Throughout this site you will find links that send you to websites maintained by other companies, organizations and agencies. Remember that these sites are not maintained by FRCCN and we cannot assume responsibility for them. We would like to know what you think of them, however. We would also like to know if you have a favorite site that you would like to share with others.

When visiting these sites, please be very careful in giving out personal information, such as name, address, email address and phone number. Never provide a credit card number, bank account number or any other information that could be used to access your personal accounts or charge goods and services to you unless you are purchasing an item. Please report anything suspicious to FRCCN and the site operator.

You may want to check out the privacy policy, anti-spam policy and other terms and condition of the foreign sites before accessing or submitting information.

Capture Technology. The FRCCN site employs "capture" technology. This means that you never inadvertently leave the FRCCN site. When you link to a foreign site, your web browser opens another window and displays the foreign site information on that screen. To return to the FRCCN site, simply close or exit that window. You will return to where you left off on the FRCCN site. This technology allows you to browse other sites without losing the FRCCN connection. If multiple windows are open and you wish to exit the FRCCN site, simply close the window displaying the FRCCN information.
